DuPont was the first to bring safer and more effective refrigerants to the industry in the early 1930s. Today, we continue to lead the industry in alternative HFC refrigerants, harnessing The Science of Cool™ to develop sustainable refrigerant solutions to meet the world's growing cooling needs.
Working closely with international government agencies, environmental protection institutions and other industry leaders, we continue to deliver the high-performance air conditioning and refrigeration needed to meet global demands, while preserving the world we all share.

Improved Mobile Air Conditioning Program (I-MAC)
I-MAC is an international multi-stakeholder program that will benefit the environment as well as the consumer by improving current R-134a mobile AC (MAC) systems. The program was initiated in 2004 to address growing concerns about the environmental impact of HFC-134a, the refrigerant used in all new mobile AC systems, and the energy consumed to operate the AC system.
